About the Role:
Reporting to senior leadership, this role oversees a team of accountants while ensuring high-quality deliverables across corporate and personal client engagements. You’ll provide direction, review work, enhance internal processes, and play a key role in shaping training, workflow standards, and team development.
This role is ideal for a people-focused leader with strong public practice experience and a passion for building structure, supporting staff, and driving excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of senior and junior accounting staff.
- Oversee quality reviews, checks and balances, and final deliverables.
- Support professional development through training, coaching, and SOP improvement.
- Manage client relationships and act as a main point of contact for complex engagements.
- Implement best practices, refine workflows, and strengthen internal controls.
- Collaborate with leadership to elevate team performance and client service standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and scaling initiatives across the practice.
What You Bring:
- Experience managing a team of at least three accounting professionals.
- Strong background in public practice accounting (mandatory).
- Depth in corporate and personal accounting and file review.
- CPA or equivalent professional designation required.
- Proven ability to build structure, develop staff, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Strong communication, client management, and conflict-resolution skills.
- A leadership style grounded in trust, transparency, and accountability.
