About the Role
As an Associate Manager, Audit, you’ll oversee audit engagements from planning to execution, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work while mentoring junior team members. You’ll play an integral role in engagement strategy, uphold audit excellence, and leverage modern methodologies to enhance efficiency and client service.
What You’ll Do
- Lead audits of financial statements and related disclosures for a range of public and private entities.
- Work with engagement partners to design and execute risk-based audit strategies.
- Supervise and mentor audit teams, providing performance feedback and development opportunities.
- Review workpapers, financial statements, and reports to maintain audit quality.
- Deliver insightful feedback on financial statements and prepare supporting client deliverables, such as board communications and management letters.
- Monitor timelines and budgets, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
- Stay current with evolving accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Contribute to client relationship management and business development initiatives.
- Participate in the firm’s coaching program by mentoring junior staff.
- 3–5 years of recent experience in a public accounting environment.
- CPA designation.
- Proven experience managing complex audits and leading teams effectively.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and Canadian auditing standards.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for analysis and reporting.
- A forward-thinking mindset, with openness to innovation in audit methodologies and technology.
