Reporting to a senior business leader, this position centers on accounting administration, expense classification, and foundational bookkeeping tasks to support upcoming tax filings. The work is fully remote, flexible, and ideal for someone who enjoys independent projects with minimal oversight.
What You’ll Do:
- Reconstruct and organize a full set of books covering the last 3–4 fiscal years.
- Classify transactions, prepare schedules, and ensure all supporting documents are cleanly organized.
- Prepare financial information for a CPA to complete back-tax filings.
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks.
- Maintain clear documentation and follow confidentiality requirements (NDA required).
- Collaborate with the business lead as needed to confirm transaction details and timelines.
What You Bring:
- Experience with small-business bookkeeping and general accounting admin.
- Strong familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Ability to work independently, organize large volumes of data, and meet tight turnarounds.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with records.
