Our client is a dynamic hybrid service and construction company seeking a Controller to lead their finance function. This is a key role for a hands-on, results-oriented CPA who will drive financial accuracy, process improvement, and future growth.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, taxation requirements, and payroll regulations.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including full monthly reporting.
- Manage cash flow and financial planning.
- Handle corporate tax filings, HST, and government remittances.
- Reconcile financial transactions and perform data analysis on a high volume of job-related data.
- Lead, plan, and build for the future of the finance function.
- CPA designation is required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting.
- Experience with cash flow management.
- Ability to analyze data from a high volume of jobs.
- Experience with Jobber, Smartsheets, and QuickBooks is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach.
