About the Role:
Reporting into a senior finance leader, this position is responsible for overseeing full-cycle accounting operations, managing external reporting requirements, leading month- and quarter-end processes, and improving financial controls across multiple business units. The role also supports strategic initiatives tied to organizational restructuring and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead monthly and quarterly close cycles, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
- Prepare and review consolidation entries across several legal entities.
- Support external reporting requirements in coordination with internal leaders and external auditors.
- Oversee daily accounting activities such as AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Strengthen internal controls, process documentation, and accounting policies.
- Manage and mentor an accounting team member, ensuring consistent and high-quality output.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders on financial operations and strategic priorities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and special projects tied to corporate restructuring or business unit changes.
What You Bring:
- Professional accounting designation (CPA preferred).
- Several years of post-designation experience in a public-company environment.
- Strong skills in multi-entity consolidations, internal controls, and equity-based compensation accounting.
- Experience in cross-border or dual-reporting environments is an asset.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
- Strong communication, technical accounting skills, and attention to detail.
