Our team is seeking a Financial Accountant

About the Role
Reporting to a senior finance leader, this role will support financial close activities, internal controls, and cross-functional reporting. You’ll work closely with various teams across the business to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial results, while contributing to process optimization initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand and analyze financial performance
- Prepare, review, or approve journal entries and other close-related transactions
- Support compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
- Assist with internal and external reporting, and variance analysis
- Contribute to finance transformation efforts focused on centralization and automation
- Provide accounting guidance for complex transactions and new business initiatives
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation
- Help evaluate and enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and data quality
- Work on ad hoc finance projects and initiatives as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a financial accounting or reporting role
- Progress toward CPA designation or fully designated
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable analyzing complex financial data and presenting findings
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or similar) is an asset
