We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our client's dynamic team. You will play a critical role in managing all aspects of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership, the Financial Controller will manage all core financial operations, from payroll and reporting to cash flow and compliance. This role plays a key part in driving financial accuracy, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the finance function scales efficiently alongside the business.
What You'll Do
- Oversee payroll processing, including salary disbursements, tax deductions, and compliance with employment regulations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, prepare cash flow forecasts, and manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Generate comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filings.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and optimize processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement within the finance department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and guide bookkeeping staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA designation preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the retail or fashion industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with relevant industry-specific software (e.g., inventory management systems, e-commerce platforms).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
