About the Role
The Financial Planning Analyst will support financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to turn financial data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Assist with annual and mid-year budgeting processes across departments
- Prepare monthly financial reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities
- Support grant reporting and funding proposals with financial inputs
- Collaborate with internal teams to align budgets with program delivery and strategic goals
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
- 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or similar roles
- Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems or ERP software is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present data clearly
- Experience in the public or non-profit sector is considered an asset
