About the Role:
Reporting to a senior asset management leader, this role oversees leasing activities across a portfolio of commercial properties, driving occupancy, optimizing deal value, and fostering relationships with brokers, tenants, and other key stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
- Lead leasing efforts across multiple commercial assets, managing both new tenant acquisitions and renewals to meet portfolio targets.
- Negotiate financial and business terms for lease proposals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends.
- Conduct and maintain market intelligence, tracking occupancy levels, rental rates, new developments, and comparable transactions.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with brokers, tenants, and prospects, representing the company with professionalism and credibility.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as property management, construction, and operations to ensure smooth transitions from negotiation to tenant occupancy.
- Plan and participate in networking and promotional events aimed at increasing visibility and attracting new leasing opportunities.
- Support senior management with reporting, forecasting, and other special initiatives or projects as needed.
- Post-secondary education in business, real estate, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial leasing or property management, preferably within office or retail portfolios.
- Strong negotiation and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret lease agreements and related documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with real estate software or CRM tools is an advantage.
- Exceptional communication, networking, and client relationship skills.
- Ability to travel regionally as required; valid driver's license and access to a vehicle preferred.
