A global Tier-1 manufacturing group is seeking a Plant Controller to oversee financial management, cost control, and system compliance within a high-volume production facility. This hands-on leadership role blends operational finance, Lean process improvement, and team development in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Plant Controller will manage all plant-level financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. The role also oversees plant IT and accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across financial and operational processes.


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead plant accounting, reporting, and forecasting activities with focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage and mentor finance and IT teams, fostering accountability and high performance.
  • Oversee cost control, variance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and engineering to drive cost optimization and Lean efficiency.
  • Maintain internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Support budget development, capital expenditure reviews, and working capital management.
  • Act as financial advisor to plant leadership, providing clear insights and performance reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental management standards (ISO 14001).
What You Bring:
  • CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a Tier-1 automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong command of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial systems.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • ERP and advanced Excel proficiency; Lean Six Sigma exposure an asset.
