About the Role
Reporting to a senior finance leader, this role involves full-cycle property accounting for a commercial real estate portfolio. You’ll collaborate closely with property managers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, support budgeting processes, and contribute to the financial health of the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for multiple commercial properties
  • Complete CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and analyze budget variances
  • Work with property administrators to ensure lease details are accurately reflected in reports
  • Assist with tenant recoveries, rent escalations, and billing adjustments
  • Support year-end reporting and liaise with auditors
  • Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Help streamline accounting processes and respond to ad hoc financial inquiries
What You Bring
  • 3–5+ years of experience in property accounting, ideally in commercial real estate
  • Familiarity with lease structures, tenant recoveries, and reconciliation processes
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA not required)
  • Experience in residential real estate or public practice is considered an asset
