Teaming up with one of our esteemed client, we are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated individual to join their team as a Property Accountant. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities within commercial portfolios, crucial to our operational success.
  
About the role
Reporting to a senior finance leader, this position plays a key role in the accounting and financial reporting of a portfolio of income-generating properties. The role supports core finance operations while contributing to budgeting, compliance, and cross-functional coordination.
  
What You'll Do

  • Execute daily accounting duties including entry preparation, payable review, account reconciliation, and financial statement management.
  • Supervise reconciliations and recoveries for property-related expenses.
  • Prepare cash flow projections and oversee monthly cash distributions.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient review and processing of tenant billings.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to optimize daily operations.
  • Oversee lease setup and develop recovery models for newly acquired properties.
  • Drive month-end closing activities, including financial statement preparation and budget analysis.
  • Offer support in budgeting and forecasting processes as required.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. CPA preferred
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in full-cycle real estate accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
  • Previous exposure to joint venture reporting and intercompany transactions is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Yardi software is advantageous.
  • Experience in managing mixed portfolios will be favorably regarded.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
