We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our clients team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA, or near-CPA, with a strong background in review and audit. You will work independently, performing mainstream review and audit engagements. This role offers the chance to utilize your expertise and contribute to a variety of client projects.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage and execute review and audit engagements.
- Perform financial statement reviews and audits.
- Identify and assess financial risks.
- Evaluate internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with clients and address their accounting needs.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports for clients.
- Stay up-to-date on accounting standards and regulations.
- CPA designation or actively pursuing designation.
- Experience working in a medium-sized public accounting firm.
- Strong technical skills in accounting and auditing.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage client engagements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
- Solid understanding of Canadian accounting standards (ASPE) and auditing standards (CAS).
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and technology.
