About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant will handle full-cycle accounting tasks including AP review, journal entries, and preparation of draft financial statements. This role is essential to maintain accounting accuracy and support financial stability.
What You'll Do
- Oversee full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end processes
- Prepare draft financial statements with attention to detail and accuracy
- Assist with internal reporting and general ledger maintenance
- Work closely with another Senior Accountant to share workload across entities
- Contribute to process improvement and ERP optimization (Sage 300 CRE)
- Assist with ad hoc tasks during ERP or restructuring initiatives
- CPA designation in progress (preferred); CPA designation a strong asset
- 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in a mid-size or entrepreneurial environment
- Solid technical accounting skills and ability to prepare working papers and financials
- Proficiency in Sage 300 CRE is a strong asset
- Comfortable with Excel and general ERP workflows
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and adapt in a changing environment
