A growing investment management firm is seeking a Senior Fund Analyst to join their newly established finance team. This role offers the chance to contribute to fund-level reporting, financial analysis, and strategic decision-making, ideal for professionals with experience in consolidation and fund operations.
 
About the Role:
Reporting to the CFO, this position will oversee financial consolidation, fund accounting, and analytical reporting to support business planning and operational decisions.
 
What You'll Do:

  • Lead the monthly close process, consolidating financial results across multiple funds and entities.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Oversee fund reporting, including partner allocations, waterfalls/carry, management and performance fees, and NAV support.
  • Conduct variance analysis, forecasting, and trend reporting to support decision-making and planning.
  • Manage fund accounting operations, including reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany transactions, and capital structure oversight.
  • Build, maintain, and automate financial models, dashboards, and KPIs to improve reporting efficiency and insight.
  • Partner with the CFO on liquidity reporting, forecasts, and ad hoc financial projects.
  • Coordinate year-end audits, prepare supporting schedules, and liaise with external auditors.
  • Continuously enhance reporting processes, financial models, and operational workflows.
What You Bring:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with CPA/CFA credentials (or in progress) highly desirable.
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in financial reporting, FP&A, or fund accounting, including consolidation work.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling capabilities; experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of ASPE and fund accounting principles.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous process improvement.
