Our team is seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting to lead financial operations and reporting for a dynamic real estate investment and development firm based in the GTA. This high-impact role is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical expertise and a hands-on approach to managing accounting operations, tax compliance, and financial planning. The position offers direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to drive process improvements and strategic financial decisions in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

About the Role
Reporting to a senior finance leader, the Senior Manager will take full ownership of corporate financial reporting, including oversight of month-end close, annual budgets, and tax compliance. The role involves coordination with external partners, mentoring junior team members, and supporting decision-making across multiple business units.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee monthly close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Lead corporate tax filings and serve as main liaison with external tax advisors and auditors
  • Manage cash operations, payroll processing, and investment fund accounting
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic goals
  • Implement improvements to accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
  • Review tax returns and ensure compliance across all legal entities
  • Provide analytical support for executive decision-making and ad hoc financial projects
  • Manage and develop junior staff within the accounting team
What You Bring
  • CPA designation required
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in a leadership capacity
  • Background in corporate accounting, with exposure to tax planning and compliance
  • Proficiency in Excel and general ledger/reporting systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities with confidence
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude
  • Experience in real estate, investment, or asset-heavy industries is an asset
