A well-established property management company is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their finance team. About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you’ll manage end-to-end financial processes for a residential property portfolio. With recent turnover in the team, this role presents an excellent opportunity to bring clarity, structure, and strong technical insight to the function.
What You’ll Do
- Lead month-end close processes for multiple residential properties
- Manage tenant billing, reconciliations, and cash applications
- Prepare detailed financial reports and variance analyses for stakeholders
- Oversee AR/AP and ensure accurate lease accounting practices
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities tied to property operations
- Mentor junior accounting team members when applicable
- 2–3 years of experience in property or commercial real estate accounting, or strong technical accounting experience from a firm
- CPA designation in progress or completed
- Excellent understanding of lease accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong Excel skills and experience with property or ERP systems
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple portfolios
- Clear communication and ability to collaborate with internal teams
