This position focuses on year-end engagements, tax compliance, and advisory support, with significant client interaction. The ideal candidate will bring excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical clients.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead review and compilation engagements for a portfolio of owner-managed businesses.
- Prepare and review corporate, personal, and trust returns.
- Support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities to optimize client outcomes.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide clear, timely guidance.
- Oversee various aspects of year-end work including working papers, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on special projects, process improvements, and workflow enhancements.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment with a focus on accuracy and service.
- CPA designation (required).
- 3–5 years of experience in public practice.
- Strong technical foundation in tax, year-end engagements, and financial reporting.
- Excellent verbal communication skills — ability to speak confidently with clients is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Proficiency with common accounting platforms and working paper tools (generalized).
- Experience supporting small business clients is considered an asset.
