Reporting to a senior finance leader, you’ll support daily accounting operations across multiple entities, with a focus on billing cycles, receivables/payables, and trust/general account reconciliations. You’ll partner closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep workflows accurate, timely, and compliant.
What You’ll Do:
- Execute day-to-day bookkeeping and processing in a software-based environment (practice management + cloud accounting).
- Prepare pre-bills, process adjustments, finalize invoices, and distribute per client guidelines.
- Reconcile trust, general, credit card, and bank accounts; maintain accurate supporting schedules.
- Monitor and manage AP/AR; resolve discrepancies and respond to inquiries.
- Support month-end and year-end close, including working papers and audit requests.
- Maintain a rolling list of time-sensitive accounting tasks and deadlines.
- Handle online banking transactions (incl. wires) securely and efficiently.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and controls.
What You Bring:
- 1–4 years of accounting experience (billing/AP/AR focus ideal); multi-entity exposure is an asset.
- Comfort with cloud accounting and practice management platforms (software-driven; not manual).
- Detail orientation, organization, and ownership over high-volume workflows.
- Clear communication with colleagues, clients, and third-party vendors.
- Diploma/degree in Accounting/Finance (or related). Experience in a legal/professional-services setting and trust accounting exposure are assets.
