What You’ll Do
- Manage and oversee the accounting team across multiple regions
- Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development
- Participate in hiring and workforce planning decisions
- Delegate and prioritize work across team members while monitoring workload distribution
- Lead team meetings and provide ongoing coaching and guidance
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation and distribution of financial statements
- Manage the preparation, completion, and analysis of budgets and forecasts
- Collect, analyze, and report on financial and operational data to assess overall performance
- Communicate and collaborate with business leaders on financial results, cost management, and ongoing initiatives
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency across the department
- Maintain documentation of processes, procedures, policies, and key business decisions
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure organizational compliance
- Liaise with external partners on financial reporting and tax-related matters
- Act as a finance subject matter expert on internal projects and initiatives
- Support broader accounting functions as needed
What You Bring
- University degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- CPA designation required
- 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Proven experience managing and developing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills
- Advanced proficiency with common business and data tools
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Bilingualism in Spanish and English is considered an asset
