About the Role
Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Corporate Controller will oversee consolidated financial reporting, technical accounting matters, and coordination across multiple operating entities. The position requires a hands-on leader who can manage complex reporting requirements while partnering closely with operational finance teams.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the corporate close process and ensure consolidated results are accurate and delivered on schedule in accordance with IFRS
- Review and synthesize financial data from operating locations to produce cohesive external and internal reporting packages
- Lead preparation of public-facing financial disclosures and supporting documentation
- Provide oversight on complex accounting treatments related to capital assets, inventory, and long-term obligations
- Serve as the key contact for external audit partners and support interim and year-end audit requirements
- Strengthen internal control practices and enhance reporting governance frameworks
- Identify opportunities to streamline systems, automate reporting workflows, and improve data integrity
- Mentor and provide direction within the corporate reporting team
- Partner with executive leadership to deliver analysis that supports strategic decision-making
What You Bring
- CPA designation (required)
- 3-5+ years of experience within an asset-intensive or resource-based industry
- Strong foundation in technical accounting and financial statement preparation
- Demonstrated ownership of consolidated reporting processes, not just participation
- Confidence navigating complex accounting areas tied to operational or capital-intensive businesses
- Solid technical accounting knowledge and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across corporate and operational teams
