A notable organization within the natural resources sector is seeking a Corporate Controller to support continued growth and increasing reporting complexity. This is a newly created position designed to strengthen the finance function and enhance consolidated reporting capabilities. This role is well-suited for a technically strong CPA with experience in multi-entity environments who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

About the Role
Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Corporate Controller will oversee consolidated financial reporting, technical accounting matters, and coordination across multiple operating entities. The position requires a hands-on leader who can manage complex reporting requirements while partnering closely with operational finance teams.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee the corporate close process and ensure consolidated results are accurate and delivered on schedule in accordance with IFRS
  • Review and synthesize financial data from operating locations to produce cohesive external and internal reporting packages
  • Lead preparation of public-facing financial disclosures and supporting documentation
  • Provide oversight on complex accounting treatments related to capital assets, inventory, and long-term obligations
  • Serve as the key contact for external audit partners and support interim and year-end audit requirements
  • Strengthen internal control practices and enhance reporting governance frameworks
  • Identify opportunities to streamline systems, automate reporting workflows, and improve data integrity
  • Mentor and provide direction within the corporate reporting team
  • Partner with executive leadership to deliver analysis that supports strategic decision-making

What You Bring
  • CPA designation (required)
  • 3-5+ years of experience within an asset-intensive or resource-based industry
  • Strong foundation in technical accounting and financial statement preparation
  • Demonstrated ownership of consolidated reporting processes, not just participation
  • Confidence navigating complex accounting areas tied to operational or capital-intensive businesses
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across corporate and operational teams

Why Join
This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact role within a growing organization. You'll gain visibility with senior leadership, contribute to strengthening the finance function, and play a key role in supporting the company's continued expansion. The environment is collaborative, performance-driven, and offers meaningful scope for professional growth.
