About the Role
Reporting to senior finance leadership, this position oversees core accounting and reporting functions while leading initiatives to modernize processes and systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information, strengthening internal controls, and enabling more efficient and insightful reporting across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the financial close and reporting process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of results
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support business decision-making through clear financial insights
- Oversee balance sheet integrity, financial statement preparation, and compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, including opportunities for automation and digital transformation
- Strengthen and maintain internal control frameworks to safeguard assets and ensure reliable reporting
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and accountable environment
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support enterprise-wide initiatives and improve financial outcomes
- Present complex financial information and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, actionable manner
What You Bring
- CPA designation required
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including several years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and technical accounting principles
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and drive performance in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
- Experience with large-scale systems and financial tools is an asset
- Exposure to automation, data-driven processes, or emerging technologies is considered an advantage
