About the Role
Reporting to a senior finance leader, this position oversees core accounting activities, financial close, and internal controls. You will work closely with business partners across the organization to support accurate reporting and sound financial decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and financial close activities
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies
- Provide guidance on complex accounting matters and support business decisions
- Maintain and enhance internal control practices to support reliable financial reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency
- Support leadership with financial insights, analysis, and recommendations
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support business initiatives
- Communicate financial information clearly to senior stakeholders
What You Bring
- Professional accounting designation and a degree in a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including people leadership experience
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, technical accounting, and controls
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Comfort working with standard financial systems and reporting tools
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives is an asset
