About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director, FP&A will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and operational teams. This position is central to driving financial planning, performance analysis, liquidity oversight, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term planning processes
- Develop and maintain financial models to support capital allocation, operational performance, and strategic initiatives
- Provide insights into business trends, risks, and opportunities to inform executive decision-making
- Oversee short-term cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and support financing activities
- Monitor compliance with lending agreements and internal financial policies
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements to strengthen forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency
- Partner closely with operational leaders to understand cost drivers and performance metrics
- Analyze variances between actual and forecasted results, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Deliver timely financial insights that directly support operational strategy and execution
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior leadership and the board
- Clearly communicate financial performance, key risks, and strategic considerations
- Mentor and develop finance team members
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance
What You Bring
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong focus on financial planning and analysis
- Experience at a large public accounting firm (Big 4 or equivalent) is required
- Experience in a capital-intensive or resource-based industry is highly preferred
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CPA designation required
- Strong knowledge of internal controls and compliance standards
- Advanced financial modelling skills and strong proficiency with Excel and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate independently in a dynamic, growth-focused environment
- Proficiency in Spanish is considered an advantage
- Willingness to travel occasionally to operating sites as required
