A growing financial services organization is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee core accounting functions and support the long-term financial health of the business. About the Role

Reporting to senior leadership, the Director of Finance will manage day-to-day financial operations while strengthening reporting, controls, and compliance processes. This position blends hands-on accounting with broader oversight, making it ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, structure, and visibility into how the business operates.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily accounting activities including reconciliations, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Oversee the tracking and documentation of investment and trust-related financial flows
  • Manage payables and monitor incoming revenue streams
  • Coordinate with external audit and advisory partners during year-end processes
  • Develop, improve, and maintain internal controls and financial procedures
  • Support regulatory compliance requirements, including routine filings and documentation
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and timely financial records
  • Prepare materials and respond to audit or information requests
  • Contribute to special projects and operational initiatives as needed

 

What You Bring

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting roles
  • Exposure to compliance-driven or regulated environments
  • Strong technical accounting foundation and advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new systems and processes
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational habits
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style
  • Professional discretion and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in real estate, lending, or investment-related environments is an asset
