 A global investment management organization is seeking a Director of Finance to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to lead complex financial reporting processes, collaborate with senior leadership, and play a key role in supporting a sophisticated investment platform. About the Role
Reporting to a senior finance leader, this position is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, fund accounting operations, and investor-related activities across a portfolio of investment entities. You will lead a team, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information while driving operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly financial reporting packages for investors and other stakeholders in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Review investor reporting, capital activity, and related financial schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Present financial results and key insights to senior leadership.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial information.
  • Review investment valuations and financial reporting for various legal entities.
  • Oversee audit deliverables, maintain strong internal controls, and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Manage capital contributions, distributions, cash flow planning, and other fund operational activities.
  • Analyze complex accounting matters related to new investments, transactions, and organizational structures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, enhance efficiencies, and strengthen internal controls.
  • Mentor and develop team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.

 

What You'll Bring

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience within investment management, asset management, private funds, or other complex financial services environments is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial reporting or enterprise systems.
