What You'll Do
- Manage month-end and year-end financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting packages
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Assist with tax compliance, audit coordination, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to improve financial processes
- Analyze financial and operational results, providing insights to support business decisions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, growth projects, and operational improvements
- Contribute to special projects, including business integrations, acquisitions, or other strategic initiatives as required
- Take ownership of a broad range of accounting and finance responsibilities while supporting the continued growth of the finance function
What You Bring
- CPA designation is required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Progressive experience in public accounting, preferably from a mid-sized or large firm
- Experience leading multiple audit engagements or busy seasons with increasing levels of responsibility
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and financial analysis
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Experience within mining, natural resources, manufacturing, construction, or other asset-intensive industries is considered an asset
