A leading organization is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support its finance function during a six-month contract engagement. This role offers strong exposure to cross-functional finance operations and will play a key role in maintaining financial controls, coordinating the period-end close process, and supporting financial reporting activities. The position is well suited for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing operational execution with governance and oversight.
 
About the Role
Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Finance Manager will serve as a central coordination point within the finance function. The role supports the integrity of financial data, ensures processes run smoothly across accounting operations, and helps maintain strong internal controls. You will work closely with stakeholders across finance, operations, and leadership teams while also supporting communication with external partners such as auditors, lenders, and service providers.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Coordinate the month-end close process and ensure key accounting activities are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions to support accurate financial reporting
  • Oversee core operational accounting activities across payables, receivables, and cash management processes
  • Support preparation and review of internal financial statements and reporting packages
  • Monitor cash balances and assist with treasury coordination and payment prioritization
  • Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies, vendor issues, or payment exceptions
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, receivables analysis, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and reporting standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support audits, lender reporting, and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational initiatives that enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
 
What You Bring
  • CPA designation is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 8-15 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
  • Experience working in complex accounting environments
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and indirect tax requirements
  • Advanced spreadsheet and financial analysis skills
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
