A large global organization in the infrastructure and investment sector is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its finance and operations team. About the Role
Reporting to senior finance leadership, this position will support financial operations, reporting, analysis, and control processes across a portfolio of investment entities. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, support operational processes, and contribute to ongoing improvements within the finance function.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly financial and operational reporting packages
- Support financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting for investment and corporate entities
- Coordinate with external service providers and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting deliverables
- Assist with capital activity tracking, cash flow monitoring, and forecasting activities
- Support audit requests, compliance reporting, and maintenance of supporting documentation
- Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and assist with resolving discrepancies
- Contribute to technical accounting research and operational analysis as required
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, including reporting enhancements and workflow optimization
- Support automation and technology-driven initiatives related to finance operations and reporting processes
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed
What You Bring
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- Progress toward a CPA designation is considered an asset
- 1–3 years of progressive accounting, finance, or reporting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial systems and reporting tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach
- Experience within investment management, private equity, infrastructure, or multi-entity environments is considered an asset
- Exposure to process improvement initiatives, automation tools, or reporting optimization projects is an asset
