About the Role
Reporting to a senior finance leader, you will play a key role in shaping the financial governance and reporting function. You will help design and implement processes, guide accounting decisions, and provide strategic insights to support business growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead the creation and management of a new finance team, ensuring strong governance and operational efficiency
- Support financial close and reporting processes, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely results
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operations and provide insights to support decision-making
- Review and analyze financial results, managing risks and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency
- Leverage technology, including AI-driven tools, to enhance reporting and streamline processes
- Support internal controls, audits, and special finance projects
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation is an asset
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, preferably with exposure to public accounting
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial reporting processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with ERP or financial systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams
- Comfortable leading change, working in ambiguous environments, and building processes from the ground up
- Proven ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail under pressure
