About the Role Reporting to a senior finance leader, this position will support day-to-day accounting operations with a primary focus on accounts payable, while also gaining exposure to accounts receivable, reporting, and project-based work. You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting ongoing process improvements.
What You’ll Do
- Process and verify a high volume of invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment execution
- Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal teams
- Assist with vendor account reconciliations and support issue resolution
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing working papers and investigating variances
- Contribute to financial reporting by assisting with reconciliations and tracking investment or operational activity
- Collaborate with senior team members on audits and other key deliverables
- Participate in ongoing projects, including developing internal documentation and process improvement initiatives
- Cross-train across different accounting functions to build a well-rounded understanding of the business
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience (real estate or property management exposure is an asset)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
