A leading global organization in the mining sector is seeking a Logistics & Trade Operations Analyst to join its growing operations team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build expertise in commercial operations, logistics, and financial risk management within a fast-paced international environment.

About the Role Reporting to senior operations leadership, this role will support the execution and administration of commodity-related transactions across the full trade lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with internal commercial teams, financial institutions, and third-party service providers to ensure smooth operational execution, accurate documentation, and effective risk management.

What You’ll Do
  • Administer contracts and ensure execution aligns with agreed commercial terms
  • Manage operational workflows across the full transaction lifecycle through final settlement
  • Coordinate documentation for shipments and ensure timely processing of required trade paperwork
  • Support shipment scheduling and logistics coordination across multiple international trade routes
  • Prepare freight calculations, payment reconciliations, and related settlement documentation
  • Coordinate with financial institutions and counterparties to manage trade finance documentation
  • Monitor open transactions and support internal teams with exposure and risk tracking
  • Conduct due diligence and compliance reviews for counterparties and service providers
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support operational efficiency
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and operational optimization projects

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field
  • Master's degree in any of the above is considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Exposure to commodity markets, trade operations, logistics, or financial services is an asset
  • Additional language skills are considered beneficial
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is considered an asset
