Reporting to a senior finance leader, this position is responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounting process, including monthly and quarterly close, while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You will also play a key role in developing team members, enhancing internal processes, and supporting broader finance initiatives.
- Lead and manage the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial results
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses to maintain high-quality reporting standards
- Oversee key accounting activities such as accruals, allocations, and balance sheet reviews
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal control frameworks
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data flow, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Support internal and external audit processes and address related requirements
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including financial institutions and regulatory bodies
- Contribute to system enhancements, process improvements, and finance-related projects
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, supporting performance management and career growth
- CPA designation required
- 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience across public accounting and/or industry environments
- 2-3 years of management experience
- Experience operating in a large public company is strongly preferred
- Exposure to process automation and continuous improvement initiatives within finance
- Familiarity with ERP systems and involvement in system implementations or upgrades is an asset
- Proven ability to manage and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights to senior leadership
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
