Reporting to senior leadership within the advisory group, this position offers the opportunity to take ownership of client engagements, provide strategic tax and accounting guidance, and mentor junior team members as the practice continues to expand.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and coordinate review engagements and related client deliverables for private enterprises
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing high-quality advisory and relationship management
- Identify and address accounting and tax planning considerations, including opportunities for tax efficiency
- Review financial statements and prepare or oversee related filings such as corporate tax returns, indirect tax filings, and information slips
- Collaborate with senior leaders on engagement planning, execution, and client strategy
- Manage multiple engagements concurrently while maintaining timelines and quality standards
- Supervise, coach, and develop junior team members, including review of work and performance feedback
- Contribute to business development and the ongoing growth of the advisory practice
What You Bring:
- CPA designation (At least CFE successfully completed)
- 4–6+ years of experience in public accounting, ideally within a mid-sized or boutique firm
- Strong experience with review engagements for private companies
- Solid working knowledge of ASPE and Canadian income tax fundamentals
- Exposure to tax planning for owner-managed businesses
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients
- Experience mentoring or managing junior staff
