A large and diversified organization is seeking a Manager, Corporate Accounting to join its finance team. This role is well suited for a technically strong accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working on complex financial reporting, cross-functional initiatives, and process improvements.
 
About the Role
Reporting to senior finance leadership, this position plays an important role in supporting the organization’s financial reporting and corporate accounting activities. You will collaborate with internal teams across the business to ensure financial information is accurate, well-supported, and delivered in a timely manner. The role requires a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable managing multiple priorities, researching technical accounting matters, and contributing to improvements in reporting processes and internal controls.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Assist in the preparation and review of periodic external financial reporting, including consolidated financial statements and related disclosures
  • Contribute to the month-end and quarter-end close cycles to support timely and accurate financial results
  • Research accounting guidance and document conclusions related to complex transactions or policy matters
  • Prepare financial analysis and supporting schedules used for internal management reporting
  • Oversee elements of the corporate accounting function, including journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany balances, and balance sheet reviews
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to corporate-level expenses
  • Assist with regulatory and statutory reporting requirements for various legal entities within the organization
  • Maintain and enhance documentation related to internal controls and financial reporting processes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting through automation or workflow improvements
  • Partner with internal teams to provide financial information required for tax filings and other corporate initiatives
  • Support the external audit process by coordinating requests and providing documentation for quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the accounting team
 
What You Bring
  • CPA designation required
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit roles
  • Exposure to complex reporting environments or multi-entity organizational structures is an asset
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior finance professionals
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS or similar accounting standards
  • Advanced proficiency with financial systems and spreadsheet-based analysis tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities
