A manufacturing organization is seeking a Manager, Costing & Financial Analysis to join their finance team. The company operates in a fast-paced, production-driven environment and offers strong exposure to senior leadership.
  
About the Role:
  
Reporting into a senior finance leader, this role oversees product costing, financial analysis, audit coordination, and key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close. The position also reviews payments and invoicing, manages variance tracking, and supports ad hoc projects that drive operational efficiency.
  
What You’ll Do:
  
  • Lead monthly costing reviews, including escalation/de-escalation assessments and analysis of additional charges or credits.
  • Support financial close activities by reviewing reconciliations and preparing workpapers related to inventory, costing, warranty, and other key accounts.
  • Coordinate audit requirements (quarterly reviews, year-end audit, pension plan audit), ensuring accuracy and timely submission of all supporting documents.
  • Review weekly cheque/wire payments, sales invoicing, and follow up on aged receivables.
  • Oversee the internal expenditure/order tracking process, including opening/closing shop orders and managing variance analyses.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements for related entities.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis to support leadership decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across finance, operations, and external auditors to ensure strong financial controls and effective processes.
  
What You Bring:
  
  • CPA Required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment, ideally 2+ years post-designation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and financial systems.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience; capable of coaching a small team and owning key reporting cycles.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
