About the Role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, this position will serve as a key business partner supporting operational and financial initiatives across the organization. The successful candidate will help drive process improvements, support strategic projects, oversee remote teams, and contribute to the development of scalable systems and operational frameworks that support business growth.
What You’ll Do
Financial Leadership & Business Operations
- Support the development and enhancement of financial and operational processes across the organization
- Analyze business performance, profitability, and key operating metrics to support decision-making
- Assist with budgeting, pricing analysis, contract review, and financial planning initiatives
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement operational improvements to increase scalability and effectiveness
- Provide financial and operational insights to leadership and key stakeholders
Systems & Process Improvement
- Support ERP implementation, system upgrades, and business process transformation initiatives
- Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures and internal documentation
- Ensure reporting accuracy, data integrity, and process consistency across business functions
- Lead initiatives focused on automation, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency
Strategic Projects & Growth Initiatives
- Participate in strategic planning and business improvement projects
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify growth opportunities and performance trends
- Support cross-functional initiatives that improve profitability, customer experience, and operational effectiveness
- Assist leadership in advancing key projects and organizational priorities
Team Leadership
- Lead and support remote accounting, administrative, and operational team members
- Establish performance expectations, provide coaching, and support employee development
- Coordinate activities across multiple teams to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented team culture
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- CPA designation completed or in progress, with successful completion of CPA examinations preferred
- 3–7 years of progressive experience in public accounting, finance, business operations, consulting, or a related field
- Big Four public accounting experience is required
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting process improvement, operational transformation, or systems implementation projects
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Experience with inventory management, ERP systems, or operational finance is considered an asset
- Previous experience leading remote or geographically dispersed teams is considered an asset
- Exposure to manufacturing, distribution, construction, or other operationally focused industries is an asset
