An established financial services firm is seeking a Manager, Finance to join its finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CPA who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with exposure to complex investment structures, financial reporting, and strategic business initiatives.
 
About the Role
Reporting to senior finance leadership, this role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, fund operations, forecasting, and compliance activities for a diverse portfolio of investments. The successful candidate will partner with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure accurate financial reporting while identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive operational efficiencies.
 
What You'll Do
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial reporting packages, including financial statements prepared under applicable accounting standards
  • Review fund reporting, performance metrics, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Manage capital activities, cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and stakeholder reporting
  • Present financial analyses and significant transactions to senior leadership
  • Partner with internal teams and external service providers to support timely and accurate reporting
  • Support tax reporting, audit activities, and compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements
  • Analyze complex accounting matters and recommend appropriate accounting treatments
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing reporting processes, controls, and operational workflows
  • Leverage emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and support data-driven decision-making
  • Participate in special projects, business initiatives, and ad hoc financial analyses

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
  • CPA designation is required
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or investment reporting
  • Experience within investment management, private funds, asset management, or financial services is considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidation, and complex legal or ownership structures
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with financial reporting or ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using AI-enabled productivity tools to improve workflows is considered an asset
