A respected organization is seeking a Manager, Finance to play a key role within its Finance leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position will lead core financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, liquidity planning, and financial modelling, while also supporting corporate tax and compliance activities.

This is a highly visible role that combines strong financial analysis and strategic planning capabilities with exposure to corporate tax. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support business decisions, strengthen financial planning and reporting, maintain compliance, and optimize the organization's financial position. There is significant potential for growth as the role and function continue to evolve.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager, Finance & Tax will take ownership of key FP&A, financial modelling, cash flow, and liquidity activities while overseeing and supporting corporate tax-related responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in finance, FP&A, financial modelling, and analysis, along with an interest in developing or expanding their corporate tax knowledge. This is an opportunity for a finance professional to take on a broad role with exposure to both strategic finance and tax.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly variance analysis, evaluating key business drivers, revenue and cost trends, and profitability metrics

  • Build and maintain financial models to support operational decisions, financial planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives

  • Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership

  • Own short- and long-term cash flow forecasting and monitor liquidity positions to support adequate working capital

  • Partner with Treasury and Finance stakeholders on cash movements, debt facilities, and intercompany funding

  • Enhance tools, models, and processes related to liquidity planning and cash forecasting

  • Prepare and review detailed financial working papers, leveraging advanced Excel capabilities

  • Support corporate tax compliance and planning activities, including applicable federal, provincial, and indirect tax filings

  • Support the preparation and review of tax provisions and deferred tax calculations

  • Assist with intercompany transactions and tax planning initiatives

  • Support audits and coordinate with external advisors on technical tax matters

  • Monitor relevant tax and regulatory developments and support the assessment of their impact on the organization

  • Recommend and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and enhancements to financial processes and reporting

  • Support ad hoc strategic projects involving corporate structuring, acquisitions, investments, debt structuring, and other financial analysis

What You'll Bring

  • CPA or equivalent professional designation required

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, financial reporting, corporate finance, Treasury, or a related area

  • Strong financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis

  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and maintain detailed financial models and working papers

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, business drivers, and profitability analysis

  • Experience working with cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, or Treasury-related activities is an asset

  • Exposure to corporate tax, tax compliance, or tax planning is an asset

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights

  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities

  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of new areas of responsibility

  • Experience with capital cost allowance (CCA) and tax considerations related to leasing corporations is considered an asset
