A growing consumer packaged goods organization is seeking a Manager of Finance to join its leadership team on an 18-month contract. This role plays a critical part in supporting ongoing expansion, strengthening financial operations, and providing continuity across the finance function. There is potential for extension as the business continues to scale. This opportunity is well suited for a CPA-designated professional with strong technical accounting skills who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments. Experience in a product-led or high-growth business gained either in industry or through public accounting is highly valued.
 
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Manager of Finance will oversee day-to-day financial operations, manage core accounting processes, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with senior leadership and take ownership of the finance function, helping ensure stability and scalability as the organization grows.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting, including month-end close and financial reporting
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and key performance indicators
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support growth initiatives
  • Lead variance analysis and partner with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial processes
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
  • Prepare and file required tax submissions and liaise with external parties as needed
  • Manage and support an accounting clerk responsible for AP/AR and payroll-related activities
  • Perform regular reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit facilities, and inventory
What You Bring
  • CPA designation is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
  • Experience in a high-growth, product-driven environment or public accounting
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and general accounting standards
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working within ERP systems
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with senior leadership
