A growing organization in the natural resources sector is seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting to join its finance team. What You’ll Do
- Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements, management reporting packages, and board/audit committee materials
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Manage public company reporting requirements and coordinate external filings with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Research and document accounting treatment for complex or non-routine transactions
- Drive process improvement initiatives across finance systems, controls, and reporting workflows
- Support the development and execution of internal control and compliance programs
- Oversee treasury, accounts payable, payroll, and related financial operations
- Assist with tax planning, compliance processes, and broader corporate finance initiatives
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic transactions and special projects as needed
What You Bring
- CPA designation required
- 5+ years of progressive post-designation experience in accounting/finance
- Experience within natural resources, industrial, or similarly complex asset-heavy industries preferred
- Public company and/or regulatory reporting experience strongly preferred
- Background in public accounting is considered an asset
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with complex financial reporting matters
- Advanced Excel and ERP/reporting systems proficiency
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and leadership levels
