What You'll Do
- Maintain and update project budgets while monitoring actual and forecasted variances
- Partner with project and construction teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Perform full-cycle project accounting, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Review project costs, work-in-progress, commitments, and vendor expenditures to ensure accuracy and budget compliance
- Prepare construction financing draw packages and coordinate with lenders and external consultants throughout the funding process
- Reconcile project funding, cash activity, and construction-related financial transactions
- Support invoice processing, purchase order reviews, and vendor payment coordination
- Provide financial analysis, project reports, and account reconciliations to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and ensure accurate project reporting
What You'll Bring
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of project accounting experience, ideally within construction, real estate, or a project-based environment
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, financial reporting, and month-end close
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manage large datasets
- Experience using ERP or project accounting software is considered an asset
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
