About the Role:
Reporting to a senior leader within the firm, this position oversees key accounting and tax mandates while acting as a resource and mentor to junior team members. You’ll handle a mix of corporate and personal files while helping uphold strong service standards across the practice.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage end-to-end workflows for corporate and personal client files.
- Review and guide the work of junior accountants to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Lead engagement cycles involving year-end work, reconciliations, and file reviews.
- Provide accounting insights and recommendations to support clients’ operational and financial needs.
- Contribute to process improvements and assist with internal training and team development.
- Participate in periodic team sessions, workshops, and collaborative problem-solving initiatives.
- Several years of experience in public practice accounting (this is mandatory).
- Strong background in corporate and personal accounting and tax preparation.
- Ability to review junior staff work and manage multiple client files independently.
- A collaborative, reliable, and integrity-driven working style.
- CPA designation is not required, though considered an asset.
- Familiarity with general accounting and tax platforms is helpful (specific software not required).
