What You’ll Do
- Conduct Audit and Review including planning, design and perform appropriate procedures and testings, prepare working papers, financial statements and note disclosure in accordance with ASPE
- Streamline the preparation of year-end engagements (e.g. compilation) and tax returns for clients across diverse industries
- Set-up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses; manage multiple files simultaneously
- Handle pre- and post- assessment reviews inquired by the CRA including analytical support, collection of information and preparation of responses
- Prepare and review T1, T2, GST/HST, T4 and T5
- Establish and cultivate positive working relationships with clients and promptly address their requests and suggestions
- Maintain prompt communication with manager/partner regarding progress updates and issues while coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Contribute to business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients
What You Bring
- CPA designation or CFE completed
- 2 to 4 years of relevant public accounting experience
- Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), ASPE, and Canadian taxation
- Experience working with accounting and tax software including Caseware, TaxPrep, TaxPrep forms and Quickbooks
- Understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles
