A leading private investment and wealth-focused organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. About the Role
Reporting to finance leadership, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and supporting the accounting operations of a sophisticated investment-focused business. This position offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization with a strong culture of mentorship and career progression.

 

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and supporting documentation
  • Participate in the preparation of audit working papers and support external audit requirements
  • Analyze financial information and provide insights to support business decision-making
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and the enhancement of internal controls
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various accounting and finance projects
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from leadership

What You Bring

  • CPA designation or active pursuit of the CPA program, including candidates who have successfully completed the CFE
  • 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience within public practice, private investment environments, wealth management, family office, asset management, or a related industry
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting principles
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and familiarity with accounting and financial systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization
  • A proactive mindset and desire to take ownership of responsibilities while continuing to develop professionally
