About the Role
Reporting to the management team, you will play a key role in delivering accounting and assurance engagements for a diverse client base. You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of industries while mentoring junior staff and developing the technical and leadership skills needed for future career advancement.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review financial statements, working papers, and tax returns
- Lead engagements from planning through completion with minimal supervision
- Mentor and support junior team members on client files
- Communicate directly with clients to resolve accounting and reporting matters
- Assist managers with engagement planning, budgeting, and workflow management
- Research and resolve technical accounting and tax issues
- Contribute to continuous process improvements and quality initiatives
What You'll Bring
- CPA designation or enrollment in the CPA program
- 3–5+ years of public accounting experience
- Experience preparing financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, and assurance engagements
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience working with private company clients is considered an asset
