About the Role
Reporting to a senior finance leader, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end activities, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Prepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting financial schedules
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and collaborate with external auditors
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Ensure revenues and expenses are recorded accurately and in the appropriate reporting periods
- Monitor inventory reconciliations and investigate variances between financial records and operational data
- Process daily cash receipts, perform bank reconciliations, and support accounts receivable activities
- Assist with intercompany accounting and related reconciliations
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in finance projects and provide support for business initiatives as required
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is considered an asset
- 5+ years of progressive financial accounting experience in a corporate environment
- Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and month-end close processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems
- Experience with reporting or business intelligence tools is considered an asset
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments
