A reputable professional services firm is looking for a motivated Tax Associate to join its team. About the Role
Reporting to senior leaders within the tax practice, this role is focused on supporting clients with compliance, planning, and advisory needs. You'll be involved in a variety of projects that require strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
What You'll Do

  • Conduct research on tax-related matters and provide summaries on potential implications for clients.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns and related filings.
  • Support the development of tax-planning strategies that address client needs.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify tax impacts and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engagement teams to manage timelines, assess risks, and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and recommend process improvements.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge development and participate in special projects or business development initiatives as needed.
What You Bring
  • A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in tax or accounting, ideally within a professional services or client-facing environment.
  • Working toward or completion of a recognized professional designation (e.g., CPA).
  • Enrollment in advanced tax training or a graduate program in taxation is considered an asset.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly.
  • A proactive, client-focused mindset and a strong interest in continuous learning.
