 A leading organization in the real estate investment sector is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Accounting to join its finance team. About the Role

Reporting to senior finance leadership, this position plays a key role in supporting consolidated financial reporting, operational analysis, technical accounting research, and process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work across multiple finance functions and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners on a wide range of accounting and reporting activities.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements, management reporting, and quarterly disclosures
  • Manage and analyze accounting and reporting activities related to joint ventures and corporate entities
  • Prepare and review month-end and quarter-end close deliverables, reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and analysis related to corporate expenses and operational performance
  • Research and analyze complex accounting matters, transactions, and technical accounting issues under IFRS
  • Assist with the preparation of accounting policies, technical memos, and compliance-related reporting
  • Collaborate with tax, operations, and external stakeholders to support reporting accuracy and business initiatives
  • Identify and implement process improvements, reporting enhancements, and automation opportunities
  • Support strategic finance and operational projects across the organization
  • Coach and mentor junior team members while contributing to a collaborative team environment

What You Bring

  • CPA designation completed or nearing completion
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience, ideally within real estate, public accounting, or a publicly accountable environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS reporting standards
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior staff is considered an asset
  • Ability to handle large volumes of analysis and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with ERP and reporting systems is considered an asset
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, technical accounting, or consolidated reporting is highly desirable
  • Big Four experience within real estate or public company environments is considered an asset
