What You’ll Do
- Support financial activities related to ongoing development and construction projects.
- Prepare and coordinate project funding and draw documentation.
- Prepare, review, and analyze project cost reports, ensuring costs are accurately tracked and reported.
- Monitor project spending and investigate variances or discrepancies as needed.
- Support monthly corporate income tax requirements, including gathering financial information and preparing preliminary calculations.
- Maintain an understanding of corporate tax payment and instalment requirements.
- Work closely with external tax advisors to provide supporting information, respond to requests, and help ensure deadlines are met.
- Assist with financial reporting, accounting analysis, reconciliations, and other ad hoc finance initiatives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, and overall financial efficiency.
What You Bring
- Strong accounting or financial analysis experience, ideally with exposure to project-based or corporate environments.
- Experience preparing or reviewing financial information and analyzing costs, variances, and supporting documentation.
- Working knowledge of corporate income tax concepts and requirements.
- Ability to prepare preliminary tax information and calculations and communicate effectively with external tax advisors.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders and external advisors.
- CPA designation or progress toward a CPA is an asset.
